Grief is universal. Yet most of us have been taught to hide it, silence it, or carry it alone.
This 4-week journey offers a sacred space to name the unspoken sorrows, tend to ancestral and collective wounds, and reimagine grief not as weakness, but as love in its rawest form. Dr. Sanaa Jaman, this container invites you to move through grief with compassion, embodiment, and community.
This isn’t about moving on.
This is about moving deeper.
Grief is not a detour, it is the path home.
→ Name the unspoken sorrows and understand grief in its many forms; personal, ancestral, and collective.
→ Explore the Five Gates of Grief and discover how loss, longing, and absence shape our lives.
→ Reconnect with the grief you’ve carried in silence from heartbreak to lost dreams, from ancestral wounds to communal sorrow.
→ Transform grief into medicine by learning how sorrow deepens compassion, softens the heart, and reawakens love.
→ Practice sustainable tools for integration including somatic grounding, ritual, journaling, and communal witnessing.
Dr. Sanaa Jaman is a shadow worker, writer, and yoga teacherm dedicated to helping others navigate the complexities of loss, healing, and self-discovery.
With a deep understanding of the connection between mind, body, and spirit, Sanaa integrates yogic wisdom, shadow work, and emotional processing to support individuals on their healing journeys.
A guide of the unseen, she helps others journey into the hidden corners of the self where wounds, wisdom, and forgotten truths await reclamation. Through her work, pain becomes power, shame becomes sovereignty, and fear becomes self-trust.
Sanaa leads with compassion, clarity, and embodied truth. Through journaling, movement, and deep emotional alchemy, she invites you to meet your shadow not with fear but with reverence. Because the parts you were taught to hide are not flaws. They are doorways.
This container is designed to hold you in both learning and practice. Each element works together to support not only your understanding of grief, but also your ability to feel it safely, honor it deeply, and allow it to shape you in meaningful ways.
Each week we’ll gather in real time for teaching, guided practice, and group sharing. These sessions create the heart of our work together offering you a supportive space where grief is witnessed, honored, and never rushed.
You’ll receive guided readings that bring teachings into accessible language and connect them to your lived experience. These reflections help you see grief not just as pain, but as a sacred part of being human.
Grief doesn’t only live in the mind, it’s carried in the body. Through grounding, breathwork, and gentle movement, you’ll learn practices that support nervous system regulation and help grief move through you instead of hardening inside.
Writing gives voice to what often remains unspoken. Weekly prompts will guide you into naming your grief, exploring where it lives, and finding words for the emotions that may have been silenced for years.
Grief is not meant to be carried alone. In this container, you will be seen and held in community. By listening to one another, we create a village where sorrow is shared and belonging is restored.
"Working with Dr. Sanaa Jaman has been truly transformational. I found a safe space to be fully myself; vulnerable, honest, and seen without judgment. Through our sessions, I’ve learned to trust my intuition, process fear and anxiety with compassion, and show up more confidently in every area of my life from my doctoral journey to my relationships. Sanaa’s guidance helped me reclaim my voice, honor my sensitivity, and believe in my path. 10/10 recommend."

Multiple 1:1 guidance containers
“How do you describe someone who has removed the restrictions from your thinking? How do you describe that process to people, in a way that allows them to expect similar results? I am here to offer testimony to the value Sanàa’s mentorship has brought into my life. That’s the other challenge, how do you quantify a paradigm shift? Sanàa challenged me to look inward. The impact of her pouring into herself is immeasurable. That practice speaks to softness in the way she deals with you, patience with your growth; I am grateful to The Most High for her. “

1:1 Guidance container & multiple retreats
Over these four weeks, we will move gently and intentionally through different layers of grief. Each session offers teachings, practices, and space for reflection, guiding you from naming your sorrows to learning how to carry them with love and belonging.
We begin by naming the unspoken sorrows and expanding our understanding of grief beyond death alone. Through Francis Weller’s Five Gates of Grief, you’ll learn how loss, longing, and absence shape your inner world and invite you into deeper presence.
This week, we turn toward the grief that is older than us; ancestral and collective wounds that live in our families, cultures, and communities. Together we’ll explore how to discern what grief belongs to you, and what was passed down through lineage and history.
Here, we begin to see grief not as an enemy, but as a sacred teacher. You’ll discover how sorrow, when expressed and shared, can soften the heart, deepen compassion, and reconnect us to love through ritual, movement, and creative expression.
We close by exploring integration; how to carry grief as a companion rather than a burden. You’ll learn ways to honor grief as an ongoing practice, embracing it as part of your aliveness, your humanity, and your belonging in the larger web of life.
“Working with Sanaa has been truly transformational. I never imagined I could feel this emotionally grounded. In the past, I would spiral but through her guidance, I’ve learned how to pause, sit with my emotions, and process them in a healthy way. I feel more emotionally mature, more self-aware, and better equipped to face life’s challenges with clarity and stillness.
What stood out most was how real and transparent Sanaa is; she shares her own journey, which makes the space feel deeply human, not transactional. This work helped me find and stand in my truth, and people around me can see the growth. I truly believe anyone who gets the chance to work with her will be forever changed, just like I was.”
— Bryan G., 8-Week 1:1 Grief Container
Bryan’s experience in the container was truly transformational. In the past, he often felt caught in spirals of overwhelming emotion. Through the practices and guidance inside this work, he learned how to pause, sit with his feelings, and process them in healthy, grounded ways. The result has been a deeper sense of emotional maturity, self-awareness, and clarity in navigating life’s challenges.
What stood out most to him was the authenticity of the space, it felt real, transparent, and deeply human. The work not only helped him find and stand in his truth, but also created visible growth that those around him could see. For Bryan, the container was a turning point, showing that true healing and transformation are possible when we commit to doing the inner work.
— Bryan G., 8-Week 1:1 Grief Container
When Ashley entered the retreat, she was carrying the weight of years of unexpressed grief. Sadness felt constant; lurking beneath even moments of joy, leaving her overwhelmed and on the edge of tears. She didn’t have the words or understanding to name what she was feeling, only that it was heavy and unending.
Through the Grief Container, Ashley found language, community, and a profound reframe that shifted everything: grief is not just sadness, it is love in another form. This realization lifted a burden she had been carrying for years. Instead of seeing herself as broken or stuck in sorrow, she began to recognize that her grief was proof of her deep capacity to love.
For Ashley, that shift was a gift she will carry forward. She left the retreat with a renewed connection to her natural state; love and a desire to share this truth with others. Her testimony reminds us that grief does not have to be the end of joy, but a sacred mirror showing us just how much love we hold inside.

Q: Is this live or self-paced?
A: The core of this journey is our live weekly sessions, where we gather in real time for teachings, practices, and communal sharing. Every session will also be recorded, so you can revisit the content or participate on your own schedule if you can’t attend live.
Q: What if I can’t attend the live sessions?
A: You won’t miss out. Each session will be recorded and shared, so you can watch the replay at a time that works best for you. Many participants find re-listening helpful for integration.
Q: How much time should I set aside each week?
A: Plan for the 2-hour live call (or replay) plus about 30–60 minutes throughout the week for reflection, journaling, and somatic practice. You’re always welcome to spend more time if you feel called.
Q: Is this therapy?
A: No, this is not therapy. While grief work is deeply emotional, this container is not a replacement for professional mental health care. Instead, it is a sacred space for communal witnessing, self-inquiry, and embodied practices that complement therapy or other forms of healing.
Q: Can I join if I’m in a tender or emotionally raw place?
A: Yes, with care. This journey is designed to hold tender emotions with gentleness. You’ll be encouraged to move at your own pace, take breaks when needed, and practice listening to your body and nervous system. You are never required to share more than feels safe.
Q: How long will I have access to the content?
A: You’ll have 60 day access to all recordings, prompts, and downloadable practices.
